A simple electric circuit · सरल विद्युत परिपथ

Electricity flows along a closed path called a circuit.

A cell is the source of electricity. It has a positive and a negative terminal.

Wires carry the electric current from the cell to the bulb.

When the switch is on, the circuit is complete and the bulb glows.

When the switch is off, there is a gap in the circuit and the bulb does not glow.

Metals like copper let electricity pass. They are conductors.

Rubber, plastic and wood do not let electricity pass. They are insulators.
