Flowers, seeds and germination · फूल, बीज और अंकुरण
A free Biology lesson for Class 5 children.
A flower has petals, sepals, stamens and a pistil.
The stamens make a yellow powder called pollen.
Bees, butterflies and the wind carry pollen to the pistil. This is pollination.
After pollination, the ovary at the base of the pistil grows into a fruit.
The seeds form inside the fruit.
A seed needs water, air and warmth to start growing. This is germination.
Seeds are scattered by wind, water and animals so they find room to grow.
